This paper is the mould-made version of the famous handmade Hayle Mill Crisbrook which is some of the most sought after paper made due to its fine quality. Production began in 1959 for the Morilla Company of New York. It was made with cotton linters, and was loft-dried. This batch was made sometime between 1969 and 1974 when production ceased. About this 'Waterleaf' paper... Waterleaf paper contains no sizing and so it acts like a blotting paper when water-based inks are used. No soaking is required as it makes the paper almost impossible to handle if completely wet. It's best to spray it lightly with a atomizer or put it into a damp pack. These papers are perfect for printmaking with oil-based inks; etching, silkscreen, litho and some inkjet (experimentation required) as well as drawing and pastels. This paper is not suitable for traditional watercolour techniques or pen & ink unless you are in an experimental mood! Sold in packs of 24 sheets of approximately 300gsm A3 (390 x 285mm)
